The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Concert Choir is the premier mixed-voice choral ensemble at UVA Wise, and is directed by Dr. Hannah Wunsch Ryan, Director of Choral and Vocal Activities and Associate Professor of Music at UVA Wise. Singers in Concert Choir come from a variety of majors across the liberal arts disciplines. Concert Choir performs a wide array of repertoire including standard choral literature, world music, folk music, and traditionals, and is frequently invited to perform with the Symphony of the Mountains and with other professional ensembles, including a world premier at Carnegie Hall. The UVA Wise Concert Choir tours annually, with recent prior destinations including New Orleans, New York, Puerto Rico, and the greater Appalachian region.
