The North Carolina 5-Day Academy for Spiritual Formation wants you to experience “A Taste of Academy”! Join us in October as we welcome the Rev. Dr. Donna Coltrane Battle for a time of learning, fellowship, and growth together.
Our topic for the event will be “Womanist Spirituality: A Peek at Deep Spiritual Practice in Shallow Times.” The spiritual focus of this retreat serves as an invitation to briefly explore the ways womanism helps us anchor amid uncertainty and chaos. The experiences of Women of Color and Black women offer a gift that cultivates subversive hope, challenges what we’ve called faith, and presses us to lay bare our whole selves before God.
The cost for the event is $60, which includes lunch on Saturday. Scholarships will be considered – please email nc5dayacademy@gmail.org to inquire.
