Community
White Memorial provides many opportunities to be involved in outreach activities in our local community. Our involvement is multi-faceted, including: member participation in providing direct services to individuals through community ministries, serving on boards, participating in caring ministries, and through sharing financial resources. Gloria Johnson is the staff liaison for Community Ministries.
Community Grants
White Memorial emphasizes community outreach by allocating a significant portion of the budget to community projects in the form of community grants.
StepUp Ministry - Primary Mission Partner
StepUp Ministry's primary goal is to help adults and children transform their lives through employment and life skills training. The ministry was started at White Memorial in the 1980's and later became a self-sustaining 501c(3). We continue to supported the ministry today, along with a number of diverse faith groups across Raleigh.
Habitat for Humanity
White Memorial supports Habitat for Humanity by participating in church-wide, Interfaith and Presbyterian builds.
