Community Grants

WMPC supports many local agencies and ministries through financial gifts, donated items and volunteers. Types of agencies include at-risk children and youth, housing, hunger/crisis intervention, special populations and self-help groups. Some of these ministries are supported on our church campus. Others are supported at the ministries’ locations.

The Community Grants Committee of White Memorial Presbyterian Church allocates funds given by the congregation to agencies in Wake County that provide for the needs of individuals and groups in the community where our church has strong commitment and involvement.

Community Allocations

The Community Allocations Committee, a sub-committee of the Outreach Committee of WMPC, is entrusted with budgeted funds allocated by the Church to provide grants in the community.

The Allocations Committee is currently not accepting grant applications for 2023-24 as we restructure our current process.

Instead, this year our budget will continue to support the list of nonprofits that the Church allocated to in 2023. These nonprofits serve our traditional focus areas of Adults/Children with Special Needs, Affordable/Accessible Healthcare, Children/Youth at Risk, Crisis Intervention/Life Skills, Homelessness and Housing, and Hunger. For 2024, our special focus will be 1) Crisis Intervention/Life Skills and 2) Homelessness and Housing with over half of our budget going to 5 to 10 nonprofits in these focus areas.

The Allocations Committee will contact our current 2023-24 nonprofit partners over the summer.

Thank you for understanding our process for this year, and as we determine our allocations process for 2025 and beyond, we will share details as they come to fruition. If you have any questions please contact Stuart Phoenix, Community Allocation Committee, or Mariel Lee, Administrative Assistant for Outreach and Music.
