We welcome you and your children to White Memorial. It is our goal to provide a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment for your child. We also want you to feel secure about your child’s well being while he or she is with us, so please take a moment to review our nursery guidelines.
Age of Care and Availability
On Sunday morning, nursery care is available during the four services welcoming children 15 minutes prior to worship. Find the nursery rooms located on the first floor of the Luther building, at the McDonald Road entrance.
7:45 - 9:15 a.m. - Nursery care available for infants through the age of three.
9:15 - 10:45 a.m. - Nursery care available for infants through children who are two years of age after September first.
10:45 - 12:15 p.m. - Nursery care for infants through children who are three after September first.
Our nursery is staffed by childcare professionals and rotating volunteers.
Though the nursery is staffed with childcare professionals, volunteers are always needed each Sunday, especially on holidays. Volunteers are asked to serve one Sunday each month during the 9:30 or 11:00 services.
For the health and safety of children and staff in addition to the peace of mind of our parents, please keep children home if they have any of the following symptoms within 24 hours before worship or church events: Fever, vomiting, discharge in or around the eyes, runny nose with green/yellow mucus, excessive coughing, diarrhea or a questionable rash.
If your child has food allergies, please alert the staff. We provide graham crackers (containing no nut/peanut product and not made in a facility where nut/peanut is used) for a snack in our toddler room with cups of water or juice that the children bring with them (no milk products please). In the newborn room and infant rooms, we give children bottles and baby food provided by the parents.
If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering please contact Gwen Whiteman at 919-834-3425, ext. 221.
