Edward Stephenson (Eduardo de Rosamaria) and Bella G will be performing some of the Spanish classical guitar’s most beloved works.

Written in 1939, Rodrigo’s twentieth century masterpiece Concierto de Aranjuez has been thrilling audiences for almost one hundred years. The second movement Adagio has one of the most well-known and recognizable themes, which will transport you to the countryside of Seville with its flamenco lyricism.

Antonio Vivaldi’s (1678-1741) Lute Concerto in D Major was transcribed for guitar at the turn of the twentieth century and is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and elegant pieces he wrote.

Eduardo will also perform some of the Spanish classical guitar’s most well-known works by Issac Albeniz and Francisco Tarrega.

This concert will culminate with Luigi Boccherini’s Introduction and Fandango. This lively and spirited Fandango will bring visions to mind of flamenco dancers and castanets. Ole!

This is Eduardo and Bella’s second concert of a late summer/fall tour, which will culminate with a statewide three-city tour (Raleigh, Wilmington, Winston-Salem/High Point) with the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, and a recording at Manifold Studios in mid- November.

Ed’s music can be found on all major platforms: Pandora, Apple Music, and Spotify. CDs are also available.
