Ash Wednesday – 20s & 30s
March 5 6:30 pm
At WMPC, our 20s + 30s community provides a place of belonging for people aged 22-39. If you read that sentence and thought, “wow, that’s a wide age range,” you are correct! Within this age range, there are many different seasons of life represented: transitional post-grad years, graduate studies, career launching, advancing professionally, navigating dating and marriage, welcoming babies, raising toddlers, and so much more. We believe that there is value in nurturing friendships with other 20 and 30-somethings across these different seasons of life.
We seek to be a community of meaningful connections, rich conversations, and deepening faith. We strive to identify our unique gifts so that they might be used in service of God’s kingdom.
Whether you are single, married, or somewhere in-between, whether you are welcoming babies or starting a new career, whether you’ve lived in Raleigh all your life or you’ve just arrived – you are welcome and invited, always.
20s + 30s Women’s Book Club: This group is led by Anne Galliher. It meets seasonally, every other Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in member’s homes or at Vita Vite in North Hills. The group is currently reading Wearing God by Lauren Winner.
Circle B: This group is part of Presbyterian Women and is led by Kelly Hobson. It meets on-campus (after Wednesday Night Dinner) on 2nd Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. Most of the group members are moms to young children but women of all ages and stages are welcome. Childcare is provided. Discussions are driven by the Presbyterian Women Bible study, but they also enjoy engaging in topics relevant to their lives. The 2024-2025 Bible study is called “Let Justice Roll Down: God’s Call to Care for Neighbors and All Creation”.
Men’s Community Group 1: This group is led by Aaron Galliher and Matthew Brookby. It meets on 1st Mondays at 6:00 p.m. on-campus. Participants range in age for late 20s to early 70s, providing an opportunity to connect with other men in our church family who are in different seasons of life, career, parenting, and faith. The group is currently studying the book of Romans.
Intergenerational Community Group: This group is led by Jessie Barnett and Ellie Davis. It meets on 2nd Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. on campus at WMPC. This truly intergenerational group provides an opportunity to connect with men and women of all ages in our church family. This group uses the Community Group Guide to guide their conversations about life and faith.
Contact Anne Galliher to be added to our newsletter and learn about other opportunities to connect with our 20s + 30s community and the wider WMPC congregation.
