Depression Awareness Month – A Conversation with Art Ross and Charlie Hinton on Experiencing Depression
The Mental Health and Wellness Committee was pleased to sponsor “A Conversation with Art Ross and Charlie Hinton on Experiencing Depression” held on October 2, 2022. This program was featured in recognition of October being Depression Awareness Month. Charlie Hinton was introduced as a long time member of WMPC who has served as a Deacon, an Elder and as a Stephen Minister. Art Ross was recognized as WMPC Pastor Emeritus, known by all and who just celebrated his 79th birthday.
Art and Charlie graciously accepted this opportunity to share their experiences with depression, their understandings of this condition, and how they have come to live with and beyond depression. We were very fortunate to have this heartfelt afternoon of sharing with these two servants. They helped us understand more about depression, loss and the healing that takes place in our shared community.
This video contains information on depression, anxiety and suicide that may be sensitive for some. Please take care of yourself.
