Musicians in Worship
WMPC Music Ministry offers opportunities for members of our community to share and develop vocal and instrumental skills in a supportive and faith-filled environment. Each ensemble prepares to serve our four Sunday services and occasional midweek services as worship leaders – a role designed to help the congregation more fully participate in and experience worship. This fall when children’s and youth choirs lead in worship they will also share in parts of our liturgy and scripture reading. WMPC Music Ministry embraces a “womb to tomb” philosophy and cultivates intergenerational collaboration as well as worship leadership opportunities for specific groups.
Examples this fall include:
- Joyful Noise Choir (3rd-5th grades) singing and leading worship with the WMPC Adult Choir and Brass Choir
- Cherub (kindergarten) and Carol (1st and 2nd grade) Choirs singing and leading worship together
- All children’s choirs singing and leading worship with the OnPoint Band
- WMPC Youth Choir and Youth Band leading worship together
