Member-To-Member Care

Agape Care

This ministry of presence creates opportunities for meaningful long-term connections between volunteers and individuals who, because of life circumstances, are seldom or never able to come to church. Trained visitors will share compassion and love through regular visits and communication with those who need the church to be brought to them. It is our goal that those being visited feel valued and connected as they receive friendship, encouragement, and support from these visitors. If you are looking for meaningful long-term connections but are seldom or never able to come to church, or if you will share compassion and love through regular visits and communication with those who need the church to be brought to them, contact Susan Hibbert for more information.

Angel Food

The Angel Food ministry is a caring group of church members dedicated to providing meals to those who have recently been discharged from local hospitals or have otherwise had an interruption in their daily lives. We strive to bring meals to members of all ages as a way to care for one another and lend ongoing support through difficult times. If receiving a meal would help ease a tough time in your daily life or if you want to help stock the freezer or deliver meals, contact Bruce Mullin or Blair Hughes for details.

Cancer Companions

Cancer Companions is a ministry dedicated to helping people dealing with cancer draw closer to Christ. This includes those currently being treated for cancer, those post treatment, their loved ones, and their caregivers. Our trained volunteers offer one-to-one support throughout the year, and twice a year we offer a small group where we encourage each other through videos, devotionals, and inspiring stories of faith. For more information, contact Jim Ferry or Amanda Kidd.

Bereavement Care Team (a Diaconate team)

The BCT provides care to people who are grieving the recent death of a loved one. They may call or visit. They may provide meals. The BCT, composed of deacons at White Memorial, has developed a system of regular contact, care, and connection with those who are grieving.

Growing Families Care Team (a Diaconate team)

The Growing Families Care Team supports and cares for parents, especially first-time parents, who have new babies by encouraging community among new parents and helping connect parents to ministries of the wider congregation.

New Member Care Team (a Diaconate team)

Team members care for new members as they begin their journey as official members of the congregation.
