Milestone 6: Confirmation
Confirmation at White Memorial takes place during the fall and spring semesters of the 8th grade year. Beginning in September, youth are provided with intentional opportunities to explore and discover together what it means to belong to God and to live a life of discipleship within our faith community and the world. The youth are able to decide in the spring of 8th grade to make a public profession of faith and be accepted as an active member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church and of the Presbyterian Church USA.
The whole family is encouraged to support and participate in the year, with the opportunity for monthly "Around the Table" discussion questions.
Students spend several months divided into small groups led by adult volunteers consisting of a confirmation committee member and another active WMPC adult member who serve as mentors. The confirmands memorize scripture, participate in retreats, develop personal statements of faith, do service projects, and enjoy a variety of learning experiences with their mentors.

"Beloved, let us love one another; for love is from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God; for God is love."
