Christopher began ministry at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in September of 2011. His primary responsibilities are preaching, teaching, pastoral care, membership development, staff development, and long term planning. Christopher has moderated Presbytery Committees and serves on the Board of the Presbyterian Outlook. He was recently recognized as a William Friday Fellow (2011-13). Christopher is a graduate of Davidson College, Union Presbyterian Seminary (Master of Divinity), and Columbia Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry).

He is married to Colleen Camaione-Edmonston and they have three children, Patrick, Gabriel, and Amelia, ranging from fourth grade to pre-kindergarten.

Anna Dickson serves as the Pastoral Resident for Congregational Ministry. She joined the staff in July 2011 and was ordained in our sanctuary in October 2011. After surviving three cold New Jersey winters while attending Princeton Theological Seminary, she is thrilled to be back in the wonderful Tarheel State! Anna serves as the pastoral liaison for White Memorial's young adult ministry, helping to provide educational, fellowship, and service opportunities for the "20- and 30- somethings" in our midst. She is always up for a good conversation over a strong cup of coffee, and especially enjoys thinking alongside others about questions of faith and life, and how we might live each day in response to God's love in Jesus Christ. She is also the pastoral liaison for College Ministry, the Career Transition Support Group, and Beginnings (new member) Classes.

Anna grew up in Charlotte, NC, and holds a B.A. in Religion from Washington and Lee University, as well as an M.Div from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Gary is on sabbatical from April 1 - June 10, 2013.

Gary has been at White Memorial since January 1, 1998. He has primary responsibility for the administrative and financial operations of the church, and provides leadership for the church in planning, organizing, and coordinating community outreach and world-wide mission efforts. He holds a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary.

Gary is married to Jane. They have three grown children, Jeff, Laura, and Carol. Gary enjoys running and has completed several marathons and half marathons.

Lisa has served White Memorial since November, 2005. Her primary responsibilities are in Pastoral Care and related programs. Lisa is a Princeton Seminary graduate, holding both Master of Divinity and Master of Theology Degrees. She has recently begun her Doctoral work in Pastoral Counseling.

Lisa is married to Rene; their son Benjamin is a third grader. Beyond ministry and family, Lisa also enjoys sewing and needlework, paper crafts, reading and travel.

As Associate Pastor for Discipleship, Nolan nurtures churchwide fellowship, shepherds new members, and helps people find ways to deepen and live out their Christian faith in this particular church community. Nolan finds inspiration in the inherent diversity of his pastoral work: worship leading, preaching, teaching, contemplative practice, pastoral care, community building, Biblical and theological study, and figuring out how to follow Jesus creatively in the 21st century. Most importantly, Nolan invites people to tell the truth about their lives, and to experience the grace of Jesus Christ where they most need it.

Nolan has degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary, Drew University, and Houghton College. He loves good books, music, aviation and space exploration, photography, great conversations, and getting out to see the world.

Gloria has been at White Memorial since September 1, 1993. Her undergraduate degree is from Meredith College in Religion/Sociology/Social Work. She holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology degree from Duke Divinity School. Gloria is married to Jerry, and they have three grown sons. She enjoys travel, and volunteer work in the community.

Gloria has the primary responsibility for Presbyterian Women, community outreach, agency grants, and congregational service projects. She also leads several Disciple classes and the Presbyterian Women's Bible Study.

Judy joined the staff of White Memorial as a Parish Associate for Senior Adult Ministry in February, 2013. She was ordained in 1987 and has served congregations in Columbus, Ohio, and Rochester, New York. Her areas of ministry experience include worship and preaching, adult education, pastoral care and visitation, membership, and congregational life. Judy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Duke University and her Master of Divinity degree from Yale University.

Judy moved to the Raleigh area in 2004 with her husband, Jim Peterson, and their two sons, Graeme and Neil Peterson, who are currently in high school. She volunteers with Triangle Pastoral Counseling, Inc. and Enloe High School. Her interests include traveling, reading, and cooking.

Tracey joined the staff in 2005. Tracey's ministry is in the area of congregational care to families with young children and to senior adults. Tracey enjoys teaching, offering pastoral care, planning educational and fellowship events and leading worship.

Tracey has a Masters of Theology degree from Duke Divinity School and is currently working on a Masters of Divinity degree at San Francisco Theological Seminary. Tracey is a candidate for Teaching Elder under the care of New Hope Presbytery. Before joining the staff of White Memorial Presbyterian Church, Tracey was Director of Christian Education at an area church. She began her career as a public school teacher after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Tracey is married to Dan Daniel. Together they have two daughters and three sons ranging in age from 13 to 22. In her free time, Tracey enjoys running, reading and baking. A perfect vacation would include hiking in the mountains or walking on the beach.

Colleen handles the scheduling of church facilities, she maintains the office equipment and trains staff on its use, and she coordinates our office systems with support staff and others. She also coordinates the office volunteers, including our receptionists.

Along with the Director of Food Services, Macy manages food production for most meals. She is a talented baker who plans our dessert menu, decorates cakes for special events and produces all desserts “from scratch”.

Angie provides administrative support for the Weekday School.

Elizabeth registers prospective members, compiles information for all new member “Beginnings” classes, maintains the church membership records, compiles information for the annual directory, prepares a monthly statistical report for the Session, and serves as a resource for linking members with ministry needs and volunteer opportunities.

Nick worked at White Memorial as the Youth Ministry Intern for two years starting on June 15, 2011. He has since transitioned into the role of Youth Ministry Associate. Nick is involved in both Middle School and High School ministries at the church, as well as leads the youth band RUN G.O.D. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University in 2011 with a degree in Parks Recreation and Tourism Management, so he bleeds Red & White for NC State.

In his free time Nick loves going to NC State sporting events, listening to all sorts of music, and catching up with friends. More than anything though, he really loves to get outside and enjoy everything that Raleigh has to offer.

Catherine joined White Memorial in January 2011. Catherine is a graduate of Union Presbyterian Seminary with a Master in Christian Education. She has a passion for writing and researching curriculum that comes from the desire to help children, youth and adults grow in faith and relationship with God. Catherine has written for the Presbyterian Church (USA) We Believe series and has coauthored a bible study for women called Conversations with my BFF - Biblical Female Friends.

Catherine lives in Cary with her husband, Peter and their Australian shepherd dog, Jasper. Her two children are young adults living in far away and exciting places to visit.

Gen is responsible for a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties.

Jody is responsible for maintaining and tracking church finances, including member donations and church expenditures.

Alex is responsible for the management and maintenance of all church facilities, coordinating grounds upkeep and supervising the custodial staff.

Rick is responsible for organizing and performing a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties.

Ira is a semi-retired chef with more than 50 years of experience in commercial kitchens. He says he still learns something new about food every day. His specialty is entrees.

Glenn is responsible for a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties.

Karen is responsible for maintaining the website, developing web-features and helping the staff maintain their web content.

Lindsay has the privilege of working with the most senior of our adult congregation since 1995. Most recently her responsibilities have involved those who are not able to participate as fully as perhaps they have in the past or would like at the present time. She visits our members who are no longer able to come to church (our In-Crowd) and encourages others to do so: Deacons, Friendly Visitors, Circles. She helps plan the Afternoon Communion Service in October, the Old Time Hymn Sing in May, our senior travel adventures, leads the Care Givers Support Group, and arranges occasions for our staff to have lunch with our church members in retirement communities.

She and her family joined White Memorial in 1983 and have been blessed by her people and programs ever since. Her daughter lives in Durham and her son and his family are in Raleigh. Lindsay loves the beach and everything it offers: walking, biking, kayaking, reading, and watching sunsets. She loves to cook and to eat. However, her favorite hobby has become her grandchildren. God has blessed her richly in her life and in her work. Thanks be to God!

Daniella assists the Christian Education departments, from age 2 through Adult. She also assists the Youth department. In addition, contact Daniella if you need to check out audio/visual equipment for your event or class.

Donna meets with staff and church members to plan meal events, plans menus, procures food and supplies, develops new recipes, manages kitchen finances and supervises all food production.

Ann has been the director since July 1, 2009. Her love of children is fulfilled as she works with young children and their families. Her goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for all the children as they learn about themselves and God's love.

Ann is married to Harry. They have two adult children, Katherine and Michael.

Emily joined us in January 2013 as the Communications Director. She will handle all aspects of church publicity utilizing every medium possible to promote events in addition to creatively telling the White Memorial Presbyterian Church story.

Emily is a graduate of Elon University with a major in Corporate and Broadcast Communications. She has worked in the advertising and retail industry for over fourteen years. She is also a graphic designer and published fictional writer.

Emily is married to Walter Nelson and they have two young sons, Luke and Grady. In her free time, Emily enjoys reading, writing, traveling and spending quality time with the men in her life!

Paw is responsible for a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties.

Carolyn coordinates all activities related to our Mother’s Morning Out program.

Meghan Price joined the staff in March 2012. Her call in serving at White Memorial is to guide middle school youth, families and their adult leaders to grow in their faith journey. She hopes to provide support and guidance to the youth, and create a faith and fun-filled youth ministry program.

She was born and raised in Greensboro, NC, but graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Textile Apparel Management. From 2007 to 2009, she served as one of the Youth Ministry Interns here at White Memorial Presbyterian Church. When she has the time she enjoys being with friends and family, watching TV (reality TV junk), relaxing, boating, and cheering on the Wolfpack! She says she would never turn down a free boating trip or Wolfpack tickets (hint hint)!

Nathan has been at White Memorial since January 1, 2009. He holds a degree in church music from St. Olaf College and a Master's degree in organ performance from Indiana University. At White Memorial he is involved with all aspects of the music program from planning worship services, leading the congregation in song on Sunday mornings, and working with children, youth, and adults. He conducts the Chancel Choir (adult choir), Carol Choir (1st and 2nd grade children), and Grace Like Rain (youth choir).

Nathan enjoys traveling- often to the midwest to visit family and friends, listening to all kinds of music, drinking coffee at Starbucks, and buying one too many books online.

Ruth is the longest-serving member of the kitchen staff. She is responsibility for planning and preparing Tuesday morning breakfasts, makes the best macaroni and cheese known to mankind and bakes a few of our desserts and most of our rolls.

Natalie’s deep commitment to Youth Ministry began as a young person growing up in the Presbyterian Church, and over the years it has found many forms of expression. Her passion for Youth Ministry led her to graduating from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC with a B.A. in Religion/Christian Education. Following graduation in 2004 she joined the staff of White Memorial to serve and direct Youth Ministry. Her call in serving is to join High School youth, families and adults through their faith journey and the joys and challenges that accompany adolescence. Natalie has quickly taken on several leadership roles within White Memorial Youth Ministry program and the community, including several summers co-directing Montreat Youth Conferences and serving on advisory boards for Wake Teen and The Healing Place.

She was born and raised a Georgia Peach but has since broadened her horizons. She is married to Kyle Raygor and they have two cats. She likes to read, relax, run, spend time outside and watch college football (Go Pack & War Eagle!) with friends and family.

Dottie is a retiree, who works part-time in two areas: finance operations and the music program. In the finance office, she maintains computer records for contributions and other receivables. She assists the music director with computer music library records and related functions.

Susan supports the Congregational Ministry and Music programs.

Katy is the Interim Confirmation Director and is excited to work with the 8th graders of White Memorial. She has an undergraduate degree from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla., a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and an extensive youth ministry background. She is looking forward to helping kids grow in their faith and supporting them as they journey toward full membership in the church.

Katy has four children: Hunter, Hannah, Tory and Skye (two in middle school, two in elementary), and is a busy mom. She is married to Mac Schafer and is a native Floridian from Ponte Vedra Beach. Katy enjoys the sun too much and is an expert shark tooth hunter at the beach.

Debra is responsible for print publications: newsletters, bulletins, bulletin inserts, newsletter features, and various other print materials. She also manages the print schedule for inserts and features to help maintain a smooth work flow for herself and Walter Wilkerson, the copier operator.

Lynn was called to this part-time position in September 1995. She holds a B.A. from Wake Forest University and a M.Ed. from the University of Georgia, both in Education. She also holds certification in teaching learning disabled children and academically gifted children.

The major way that Lynn encourages the faith development of children is by planning and resourcing Church School for grades 1 - 5. Lynn’s other areas of ministry include Vacation Church School, Communion Workshops, Worship Workshops, and the 11:00 Children in Worship program. She also coordinates children’s artwork for worship bulletins. Her favorite way of interacting with our church's children is skating with them at Jellybeans.

Lynn and Mark have three young adult children: Matthew, Anna, and Jonathan. Lynn enjoys walking with her friends and is an NPR junkie. Her favorite get-away is snow-skiing with her extended family.

Ken is responsible for a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties.

Rebecca is the pastoral assistant to Christopher Edmonston. She schedules all baptisms, weddings, and coordinates the details of Witness to the Resurrection. Additionally, she compiles information for meetings of Session, Diaconate, Officer Training and the church-wide Nominating Committee.

Gwen began her call at White Memorial in December 1994 and would tell you the years of service have been a joy and a privilege. Gwen's focus is children ages 2 through kindergarten. During the week she can be found in W314 or the Luther building, communicating with parents, teachers, and colleagues, creating materials, designing educational space, planning workshops, children’s worship experiences, and gathering resources for Church School. Sunday mornings are a highlight, when Gwen enjoys growing in faith and love with adults and children at White Memorial.

Gwen holds a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from Miami University and a Master Degree in Educational Curriculum and Supervision, also from Miami University. She is married to Andy Whiteman. Her current hobbies include swimming, biking, running, and travel. Gwen and Andy have two grown children, Allison and Andrew, and a cat that has lived way longer than cats are supposed to live.

Walter is responsible for producing most of the printed material for the church. He also maintains an extensive collection of audio and video copies of past services.

Robin serves as the receptionist part of the week, maintains reservations for church events, provides administrative support for the office, Young Families, Older Adults, Keenagers and Presbyterian Women, mails grief booklets, sends out memorial confirmations, maintains the Sunday Shuttle schedule, and coordinates all van reservations.

Ricky is responsible for a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties.

Karl joined the White Memorial staff in July 2007. Previously, he held similar posts for churches in Cincinnati, Ohio; Greenwood, Mississippi; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky. He has also served as an Instructor and a Conductor of Handbell Choirs for the faculties of Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey; St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN; and Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN. In addition to serving churches at the local level, Karl has participated in worship and theology committees at the Presbytery level and as a national board member for Presbyterian Association of Musicians. Karl loves the opportunity to combine interests in music, teaching, creative arts, nurture, and worship which results in ministry through music. He holds B.M. and M.M. degrees in church music from St. Olaf College and Westminster Choir College, respectively; and a D.A. in music education, choral emphasis from the University of Mississippi at Oxford.

Karl and Lora Z. live in Fairfax Hills where they enjoy gardening, cooking, and sharing southern hospitality.
