What to Expect

A Warm Greeting

Each Sunday you will find greeters in worship and at all of our main entrances who are ready to welcome you and will be happy to provide you with directions and answer any questions you may have. Please take a moment during worship to share your information with us so that we can follow up with you after your visit.

Sunday Morning Summer Schedule

During the summer, we offer three opportunities for you to worship with us each Sunday.

Our 8:15, 10:00 a.m. sanctuary services include beautiful music offered by our Sunday choirs and are typically accompanied by organ and piano. At the 10:00 a.m. OnPoint@1704 service, music leadership is provided by the OnPoint House Band. Acoustic instrumentation for this service includes guitar, banjo, violin, Celtic whistle and more. Also at OnPoint@1704, you will find our “KidsPoint” area, which is our reserved worship space created especially for young children and their caregivers.

All of our Sunday morning services utilize a similar liturgy, the same sermon is preached, the Lord’s Supper is celebrated (1st Sunday of the month) and our special Hunger Offering is collected (5th Sunday of the month).

8:15 a.m. | Worship in the Sanctuary
10:00 a.m. | Worship in the Sanctuary

For My Kids

Nursery care is provided for children from birth through 4 years of age during all of our worship services. Find the nursery in the lower level of the Luther building at the McDonald Lane entrance.

We welcome children to all our worship services! During the summer, we particularly encourage families to worship together either in the sanctuary or in OnPoint@1704.  In addition, Kidspoint, a designated space for caretakers and children is located in OnPoint@1704 as a special place to worship with a little more wiggle room.

Adult Sunday School

Sunday School is not just for children at White Memorial. During the summer we offer several educational opportunities available for adults during the 9:30 a.m. church hour. Check at the welcome desk in the Jane Bell Gathering Space or with any greeter for a listing of the available Sunday School classes.

Fellowship

Between worship services, coffee and lemonade is available in Pickard Hall.
