About Leslie Klingensmith

Leslie Klingensmith, is a Pastor of St. Matthew Presbyterian Church in Silver Spring, MD, where she has served for 16 years. In September 2018, she celebrated 25 years of ordained ministry in the PCUSA. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School and her Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. Leslie is married to Edward (Ed) Taylor, a retired PCUSA pastor, and they have two sons, Sam (age 15) and Greer (age 12). In addition to full time ministry, Leslie loves hanging out with her family, biking, baking, cooking, hiking, music (recorded and live), listening to podcasts, walking the family dog (Angus) and drumming. She is an avid reader and has a personal goal of reading at least 70 books a year. Even after a quarter century, Leslie still loves ministry and is grateful every day that it is her calling. She loves to hear peoples' stories about how and when God shows up in their lives. Above all, she is hopeful and thankful.

This is Leslie’s third time speaking at the Women’s Retreat. She is a favorite of retreat participants with her gift of teaching and sharing “real-life” applications and her wonderful sense of humor, to name a few.
