Thursday, October 11, 2018, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

To be rescheduled at a later date.

White Memorial Presbyterian Church
Thursday, October 11, at 7:00 p.m.
No registration is necessary to attend, but registration is required for childcare

Kate Bowler is a professor at Duke Divinity School and the author of the New York Times best seller, Everything Happens for a Reason (and other lies I’ve loved).

In 2015, Kate was diagnosed with stage IV cancer, and in this book that she never wanted to write, she shares honestly and with deep vulnerability her cancer journey. Kate also shares valuable insights about what we can say and what we shouldn’t say when someone we love is struggling with a terrible situation.

White Memorial Presbyterian, St. Michael’s Episcopal, and Hayes Barton United Methodist Churches partner together to present this special event. All are invited.

There is no cost. Kate will speak from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Following the presentation there will be fellowship, light refreshments and copies of pre-signed books to purchase. For questions, contact Tracey Daniel.
