Youth International Book Club meets on the second Sunday of each month from noon - 1:00 p.m. in C301. Lunch is provided and the books are always free.

This fall we are exploring the book Inquisitor's Tale by Adam Gidwitz. A tale about three youth using their gifts on a mission to save holy books from being destroyed. Set in Medieval France, based on true historical events, and told in a Canterbury style.

On November 12, 2017, Karl Zinsmeister and WMPC Musicians will be our guest teachers. Karl will present a collection of medieval music and address the following questions.

  • What is a Troubadour and how is their role important in music history?
  • What type of instruments were allowed in the 13 century church and what were not? Why?
  • How was 13th century church music and tavern music different in style and sound?
  • Are the differences relevant today? Traditional vs. Contemporary.

Registration is required.
